Group Rowing vs Other Workouts
Indoor rowing is the powerhouse of gym workouts and burns up to 300% more calories in an hour than yoga. Yoga burns significantly less calories but it is still a low impact exercise; yet performing the same yoga poses over and over, the repetition can lead to strains and pains in your body as people adjust their poses and reach deeper to “get a good stretch”. Yet indoor rowing can be a great compliment to yoga as it will boost your metabolism, strengthen almost every muscle in your body, and help elongate your muscles.
Vs Cross Fit
Cross fit melts calories but you can’t work out if you injured. And we know it is a real bummer if you have to wait a week or two to heal just so you can work out again. Many cross fit injuries occur as the body gets overly tired, the muscles fatigue, and class participants lose control of their movements leading to tweaks, pulls, strains, and back injuries. As you do burpee after burpee or overhead press after overhead press, it is easy to strain muscles and tendons as your body gives in to the exhaustion. These classes can be fun, they do promote muscle and bone strength, but as we get older these classes can cause pain and strain that limits us from achieving our goals.
